You can board any time after we call your group, up to 15 minutes before departure. Use the Priority boarding lane, scan your boarding pass and you’ll be on your way.
Free checked bags apply, based on the member's status, for members and guests traveling on the same reservation (excluding group reservations) on itineraries marketed and operated by American Airlines. Free checked bags may not apply to codeshare flights not operated by American. Visit the website of the airline operating your flight for details. If the standard cabin allowance is higher than the number of free checked bags for your status, then the standard cabin allowance applies.
The number of free checked bags depends on your highest status level at time of ticketing or check-in. If your status level is:

The name on your AAdvantage® account will be printed on your luggage tag.
By claiming the luggage tag, U.S. AAdvantage® members agree to receive marketing from American Airlines.
The luggage tag will be mailed to the address on your AAdvantage® account. If you do not have an address in your AAdvantage® account, please add an address to your profile before selecting.
Your name, AAdvantage® number, address and email address may be shared with our 3rd-party distributor (Specialty Print Communications) and shipping carrier for the purpose of fulfilling / shipping your product.
Allow 6 - 8 weeks for delivery. International locations and P.O. boxes may take longer.

Only members who either newly qualify for AAdvantage® status or requalify for the same or higher status starting March 1, 2026, with a status expiration year of 2028 will be eligible to receive a luggage tag with a limited-edition design marking our 100th year as an airline.
Luggage tag for the displayed status must be selected by 11:59 p.m. CT on April 30, 2027; or before qualifying for a different AAdvantage® status, whichever comes first.
