Self Service Check-In machines are an alternative easy time-saving option to start your trip with American Airlines, they're located in the check-in area at Zürich International Airport (Terminal 2, Row 1).

The process is available in English, French, Japanese and Spanish.

Here's how it works:

1. Swipe your passport or a credit card through the machine and select your itinerary.

2. Follow the instructions on screen, if you require assistance please see one of our agents to assist you.

For international flights you must check in 60 minutes before departure.

Customers travelling within the U.S., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands must check-in for their flight at least 30 minutes before departure.
The following exceptions apply in some U.S. airports.

What are the benefits of Self-Service Check-in?

• Select or change your seats
• Add your AAdvantage® number to your booking
• Print or reprint your boarding pass
• Check in for up to four flight segments
• Stand by for an earlier or later same-day flight for eligible passengers
• AAdvantage members may request an upgrade
• If desired, request a duplicate receipt

When is Self-Service Check-In available?

Although most of our passengers are eligible for Self Service Check-In, you will need to see
a check-in agent:

• If you're travelling with Infants (0 - 2 years) not occupying a seat
• If you have requested your ticket to be issued as a paper ticket
